Question
not properly flowering /and when it flowers fully damaging and no areacunut is fixing on it
Answer
Check for any pest or disease infestation. Follow proper phyto sanitary and plant protection measures. Fungal diseases can be checked by spraying Bordeaux mixture (1%) twice a year, one just before the onset of South-West monsoon and another 40 days later. If monsoon is prolonged, give a third spray. Use Rosin soda adhesive to ensure tenacity of the spray deposit on treated subtrate. If inflorescence die back is noted spray Zineb (4 g/litre) twice, one just after female flowers are set and again 15-28 days later. Follow scientific cultivation practices. Visit http://www.kissankerala.net/kissan/kissancontents/arecanut.htm for details.
